Tiger Legacy Foundation Funded Grants
Innovative Projects Grants
In the 2025-2026 school year, the Tiger Legacy Foundation provided $1,650 in funding for four innovative projects.
To receive funding for these grants, teachers and students were required to submit requests that included a brief description of the project, the number of students who would be impacted by the project, and how the project would be evaluated at its conclusion.
In addition, all projects were reviewed by the school administration to ensure that there were no conflicts with school policies or the overall educational goals of the school.

Planners for Progress
This grant provided planners for students needing additional help planning and organizing their study planning and learning goals.
Building Thinking Classrooms
This grant funded teacher workshops on transforming classroom practices to actively engage students in problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative learning.
Certified Nursing Assistant Training Materials
Providence Hospital offers 6-week CNA courses leading to a 24-month Student CNA commitment at the hospital. This grant funded textbooks and other training materials for LC students enrolled in that program.
Thinking Classrooms/Hope Squad
This grant supported the LC Hope Squad, a group of peer-nominated students who are specially trained in recognizing signs of
mental health distress in other students.
Building Community Grants
The Tiger Legacy Foundation seeks to support programs that create spaces of inclusion and support within the school, as well as student-led projects that positively connect to and impact our wider community.
The grants funded in the 2025-2026 school year were chosen because they enabled groups to share experiences and improve communications.
Over $4,600 in grants were provided to support the projects listed here.

LCTV Equipment
With this funding, the LCHS television station was able to purchase a teleprompter and other related audio equipment.
Multilingual Family Night
The LCHS Multilingual Family Night connects immigrant families with school staff, community partners, and practical resources through a shared dinner, language-accessible topic stations, and student-led cultural performances that celebrate multilingual identities.
Tiger Spirit Across the Decades
Related to the annual "Rubber Chicken" event, ten 2ft by 3ft historical decals will be placed throughout LC on walls and in hallway locations where there is little to no Tiger Spirit.
Needy Students Fund
This grant provides discretionary funds to the school principal to meet one-time needs that enable the student to more fully participate in school activities. Examples include such things as field trip fees, extracurricular activities fees, etc.
Scholarships
The cost of post-secondary education continues to escalate making it difficult for some students to reach their full potential.
The Tiger Legacy Foundation, in collaboration with the faculty and staff of Lewis & Clark High School, will seek out students who have the desire to continue their education beyond high school, yet lack the financial resources to do so.
Scholarships would include resources to support attending college or university, but could also include support for students wishing to pursue careers in technical or vocational professions.

Noel Rademacher-Homer Memorial Scholarship
Created to honor Noel Rademacher-Homer, this $10,000 annual memorial scholarship honors women graduating from Lewis & Clark High School who, despite facing hardship and limited resources, have demonstrated extraordinary resilience in the face of adversity — and who have shown a deep commitment to lifting up those around them.
Tiger Legacy Foundation Annual Scholarship Award
The Foundation Board of Directors, along with the Multi-Tier Service Support Team at LCHS are still in the process of determining the annual amount and criteria for this scholarship award. We hope to have this scholarship award ready for distribution by the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
Stone Soup Restricted Fund
In 2026, the Tiger Legacy Foundation received a major gift of $100,000 to be used specifically to support students enrolled in special education programs at Lewis & Clark High School.
It is anticipated that this restricted gift will be utilized over a multi-year period and will fund requests for needed curriculum materials and student supplies as needed.
Washer/Dryer
The first project to be funded from this restricted fund was the purchase of a washer/dryer. Not only would this equipment be used to teach life skills, it would also integrate LC sports teams with the special education programs by having the washer/dryer available to clean sports uniforms.
Summer Nutrition Program
During the school year students receive healthy meals from the food program in the school's cafeteria. However, over the summer months, that service is not available. The Stone Soup Fund, along with the Tiger Legacy Foundation and Meals on Wheels have collaborated to provide healthy meals to students in the special education program who do not have the resources to provide healthy meals for themselves.
ABLE Classroom Cooking Support Program
This project provided small cooking and/or science projects for the students in the ABLE (Autism Behavior Learning Environment) classroom.
