Building Community

"One of the most vital ways we sustain ourselves is by building communities where we know we are not alone."

Building Community
High school can be a time for building long-lasting relationships. However, we also live in a world where isolation and polarization shadow our daily lives. The continuing plague of school shootings and teen-age suicides are a testament to our failings to nurture places of connectedness, trust and safety. The Tiger Legacy Foundation seeks to support programs that create spaces of inclusion and support within the school, as well as student-led projects that positively connect to and impact our wider community. If you are a teacher, staff member or student at Lewis & Clark High School and would like to apply for a Building Community Grant, please visit our Grant Applications page.
